00:00:10 — 00:00:14 Hello, everybody. We're going to demonstrate how to make images in MAGAN.

00:00:14 — 00:00:21 It's quite simple, and it all starts with this prompt. Typically, the more descriptive your prompt, the better the result will be.

00:00:22 — 00:00:29 We're currently working on building our website header. This is the prompt we're using and, of course, we can tweak that more if we need to.

00:00:31 — 00:00:34 Over here, we have our image model selection.

00:00:34 — 00:00:38 MAGAN comes stocked with a very popular open-source model.

00:00:38 — 00:00:40 You can always download and add more.

00:00:40 — 00:00:45 You just drop them in the correct folder and then you'll be able to select any one you want.

00:00:45 — 00:00:52 If you are in the process of generating images, and you've already used one model and now you've selected a new one,

00:00:52 — 00:00:58 MAGAN will automatically offload the one that was active and then load the one that is currently selected.

00:01:00 — 00:01:07 As I already stated, we are building our website header. I'd like to quickly discuss 'steps' and 'guidance.'

00:01:07 — 00:01:16 Fewer steps means lower quality, but faster generation times. More steps take longer, but add refinement and detail to your images.

00:01:16 — 00:01:21 Guidance determines how closely the AI image model will attempt to follow your prompts.

00:01:21 — 00:01:27 In some cases with highly detailed prompts, if you set this too high, it might wash out or over-process your image.

00:01:27 — 00:01:36 In short, you could spend all day, on one prompt, simply adjusting these two settings to experience wildly varying results.

00:01:36 — 00:01:43 But they can also be used to fine-tune and generate exactly what you're going for, which I hope to prove soon.

00:01:44 — 00:01:47 The next thing I'd like to quickly cover is 'seeds.'

00:01:47 — 00:01:50 Random seed numbers are generated with every image.

00:01:50 — 00:01:55 If you uncheck this 'Random' check box, your prompt will generate the same image every time.

00:01:55 — 00:02:01 That allows you to edit that specific image by changing any settings or styles even just one element at a time.

00:02:02 — 00:02:07 You can also search your 'Images' folder in MAGAN, and pull up previously generated images.

00:02:07 — 00:02:12 A text file is assigned to each image, which tells you what image model you used,

00:02:12 — 00:02:17 what prompts and styles you used, your steps and guidance selections, as well as the seed number.

00:02:18 — 00:02:22 This allows you to go back and continue any work on that specific image.

00:02:23 — 00:02:24 For now, we just want to generate a new image.

00:02:24 — 00:02:32 Since we are making a website header, we're going to keep this as a .png file, and we're going to keep all our settings as they are.

00:02:32 — 00:02:36 I'd also like to show you what's happening behind the scenes.

00:02:36 — 00:02:41 You can see in the data here that the two previous images I made just took under a minute each.

00:02:41 — 00:02:47 And I'm currently using a pretty average gaming desktop. It's got 16 GB of RAM and 12GB GPU.

00:02:48 — 00:02:50 The processor isn't all that much to talk about.

00:02:51 — 00:02:57 If you have a faster machine with more GPU, you can drastically shorten this processing time.

00:02:58 — 00:03:02 On our best machine with 32GB of GPU, we get these same image results,

00:03:02 — 00:03:08 with the same settings as they are applied now, usually within three to six seconds.

00:03:10 — 00:03:13 So we're just going to let this play out and hope we get a great result.

00:03:13 — 00:03:17 You can see here how it's going through each step, and once that completes,

00:03:17 — 00:03:22 it will format and save the image automatically in the 'images' folder of your MAGAN drive.

00:03:22 — 00:03:28 Deleting or moving images in that folder is a cinch. Simply open the folder and do that manually there.

00:03:28 — 00:03:32 In the meantime, I'm going to show you the preview function of MAGAN.

00:03:32 — 00:03:38 You can enlarge, scroll left and right, refresh -- you can review every image on your drive, right there in the UI.

00:03:38 — 00:03:42 And our new image has been created, so let's take a look.

00:03:46 — 00:03:48 Yeah, it looks like we found a new website header.

00:03:49 — 00:03:55 I hope you enjoyed this demonstration. For more information on how to manipulate images, check out our blog posts

00:03:55 — 00:03:57 where we go into much more detail.

00:03:58 — 00:04:02 You can also go into the 'Settings' tab and permanently make any changes you'd like,

00:04:02 — 00:04:07 so the next time you load up, all your favorite settings are stored in place.

00:04:08 — 00:04:11 Just be sure to click 'save to file' and that's it!

00:04:11 — 00:04:15 Everything you need to know about getting started making images in MAGAN.
